As we all know here in Easingwold and our picturesque villages, we are indeed ideally located in the centre of North Yorkshire in the beautiful countryside just to the north of the unique and historic City of York. But more than that, we are a peaceful haven where you can relax in our lovely Market Town or surrounding villages without the noise, crowds and parking problems found in the City. We have everything you need here, and the green rolling countryside as well! ”Yorkshire Life” magazine agrees and summed us up with “a relaxed atmosphere”, has “easy-peasy parking” and is “a nice place to live” – (and presumably stay)! The Easingwold area is rapidly carving out a name for itself as a food lovers paradise. Not just us, but “the “Independent” advised its readers recently that Easingwold “is becoming and essential foodie pit stop” and ranked our “Fine Foods of Yorkshire” in the top 3 delis of Britain! In fact we have an award winning deli in virtually every part of the town, with our fantastic “Tea Hee” Tearooms which was listed by “The Times” in 2008 as one of the best in England. A happy and welcoming smile is guaranteed as soon as you walk in! On the other hand our beautiful Villages have an ever-growing list of award winning restaurants – why not try the Durham Ox in our local village of Crayke -winner of the Yorkshire Pub of the Year, AA Pub of the Year, Free House of the Year and Yorkshire Pub of the Year!
