Redwood Lakes, near Huby

Redwood Park

Redwood Park is  located 11 miles from the centre of York City and just 3 miles from Easingwold, just off the A19. It is a recreational location dedicated to providing quality fishing and a place for the local community and visitors to enjoy a beautiful scenic experience.

Their dedication to the sport of angling has lead them to the creation of the Redwood Park project, which consists of 2 fishing lakes. In the future wthey will also provide a wildlife trail including a small pond for local and visiting children to dip nets and observe the pond life close-up, as well as a visitor centre.

 Thornton Lodge Trout Lakes

Thornton Lodge Farm has a number of now mature lakes stocked with trout - both brown and rainbow to provide excellent sport. Fishing is by fly only, and fish of 3-4lb in weight are regulary taken. There is a fishing lodge on site which can offer you shelter - toilet facilities or just a  refreshing hot drink for those long summer evenings.

Oak Tree Leisure Coarse Fishing Lakes

A delightful site for fishing, close to the village of Huby. Four individually styled lakes holding a wide variety of species including roach, chub, perch, carp (to 30lb!) and barbel.

4 canal style lakes (approx 12.5m wide), Open match lake 55 pegs, 120 pegs spread over 3 lakes available for club bookings/and or pleasure angler.

Rising Sun Coarse Fishing

Location: Rising Sun Fisheries, Aldwark, Alne, York, YO61 1TY, North Yorkshire. Lakes' size and stocking:

Lake 1: 2.5 acres (30 pegs, 5 to 12 ft deep), stocked with Italian Mirror Carp up to 26lb, common and ghost carp to 30lb, and a large head of all types of silver fish.

Lake 2: 0.5 acre (14 pegs, 4 to 6 feet), stocked with common and mirror carp up to 6lb, and a large head of tench (ideal for the pole angler) - opens late April.

Ticket Prices: £5 per day ticket per peg (max 2 rods), concessions for children

£10 for night fishing, MUST be booked prior to arrival - we must see you arrive and we must see you leave.
