Sue & Bill Raper offer you a friendly family welcome to Thornton Lodge farm B & B. We are located just out of the market town of Easingwold near York, whilst offering you peace and quiet, trout fishing lakes and open countryside in abundance!
We are here to help you relax and escape the hustle and bustle of urban life and to relax, explore and enjoy the hospitality of Thornton Lodge Farm while you discover this beautiful area of North Yorkshire.
Your hosts Sue and Bill also welcome you to Thornton Lodge Farm and Country Sports, the best place in North Yorkshire to enjoy a wide range of activities and services during your stay. Situated in unbeatable surroundings on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds there are over 220 acres of glorious farmland at your disposal along with first class facilities for human and equine visitors! Why not try spending an peaceful afternoon fishing for trout in the lakes on site!
The Farm is located in rolling countryside between Easingwold and Coxwold surrounded by the Vale of York with views of the Minster and further over to the Pennines. The Yorkshire Dales are to the west and the North Yorkshire Moors to the east. Only a few miles north is the lovely market town of Thirsk where the World of James Herriot can be found.
Thornton Lodge Farm offers secluded ground floor accommodation, which has been developed from the conversion of farm buildings adjoining the main house. There is a private entrance for guests and the rooms are easily accessible by wheelchair (graded level 2 accessibility). Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, television and a full beverage tray.
There is a sunny south facing conservatory linked to the bedrooms which is solely for our guests’ use. It has views of the gardens, pond and open fields beyond and is a wonderful place to sit and plan your day’s activities or unwind with a cup of tea after a hard day’s sightseeing.
Our award winning full English breakfast is served in the conservatory and includes some of the finest local meats and freshly laid eggs from the farm hens.
Please note we do not accept bookings for only one night over peak season weekends and bank holidays.
