DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION

Coxwold Pottery was established in 1965 by Peter and Jill Dick. Over the years they have produced a wide range of pottery, including table and kitchenware. Numerous visitors to this lovely corner of North Yorkshire have become regular customers.

The inspiration for Coxwold pots comes from the work of country potters over the centuries and many of the techniques employed are the same as those used by the old craftsmen. Thrown on the potter's wheel each pot has a unique character. Earthenware in bright cream, green and blue is fired in our electric kiln.

Many young potters have worked with Peter and Jill throughout their careers and under their guidance have moved on to start their own potteries all over the world.
