Using our new satellite receivers, we are hosting events live happening many miles away such as National Theatre Live, the Bolshoi Ballet from Moscow and live music concerts. Information and tickets available from The Galtres Centre Box Office. Do not be surprised to meet people from Midlesborough and ather far away places - as Easingwold has one of the few Satellite facilities in the whole North East!

The Bolshoi Ballet - Le Corsaire
Based loosely on Lord Byron’s poem, this is a lavish production of the romantic ballet involving a plot about pirates and slaves. A dazzling jewel in the Bolshoi’s crown!

The Royal Ballet Covent Garden - Romeo and Juliet
A ballet by Serge Prokofiev based on Shakespeare’s play. It is one of the most enduringly popular classical ballets.

The Royal Opera House Covent Garden - Rigoletto
An opera in 3 Acts by Guiseppe Verdi based on the play ‘Le Roi s’amuse’ by Victor Hugo.
First performed in Venice in 1851, it is considered by many to be the first of Verdi’s operatic masterpieces. Rigoletto is one of the best known of all great chorus opera’s featuring tuneful numbers such as “La donna e mobile”. It tells the story of a deformed and ridiculed court jester, Rigoletto, who aids and abets his master in the seduction of young women.
